Weld-on seals are generally field welded to the column pipe or to the tail pipe assembly of turbine pumps. They are made to increase well production in irrigation and municipal wells. They can also be slipped-on PVC drop pipe for use with submersible pumps. When used as a slip-on, we recommend installing these seals on a short piece of PVC and wedged top and bottom between two couplings.
